Learning to dance gives you the greatest freedom of all. The benefits of classical ballet training are carried throughout life. It builds strength, character, self-discipline, confidence, balance, flexibility and grace. Edwina Castle demands the very best a student is capable of whether a career in dance is planned or not. In return, Edwina will give positive attention and the encouragement each student deserves.

Performances: Gallery Ballet has two performances on the Main Stage of Gallery Theater annually. Our academic performance in early December will highlight mastery of classical ballet technique at each level and include festive dances of the season. The school of Gallery Ballet will present a classical ballet in Late May or early June (click here for this year's performance information). Levels III-VI dancers perform at other community events and attend annual Master Classes hosted by Gallery Ballet. Baby Ballet is a non-performance class.

Edwina Castle has extensively trained for several years under internationally recognized dancers and teachers including Eric Hyrst, Cecilia Hering, Renate Edwards and Susan Zadoff. Currently, she studies at Oregon Ballet Theater and in master classes and seminars including the 1994, 1998 and 1999 Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Teacher Seminar. She has performed with the State Ballet of Oregon, The Juice Company, On Tour Company and the Redlands Festival Ballet. Her TV appearances include "Two for Ballet" seen on PBS, the NAIRD award winning home video "The Swan Lake Story" seen on the Disney Channel, and the music video "Body Jacking". Ballet students from Gallery Ballet have attended prestigious schools and summer workshops which include Oregon Ballet Theater, Whitman college and Long Beach Ballet Arts Center. Several have received dance scholarships at Oregon Ballet Theater, summer dance programs and Universities. Edwina Castle’s Classical Future Studios are Gallery Ballet in McMinnville.
